I was profoundly touched by the witness of a man whose first name is Mike who I had the honor of visiting today. Diagnosed with ALS, Mike A. is approaching his illness with a beautiful witness of faith. He is uniting his personal sufferings with the sufferings of Jesus - right now in The Garden of Agony. It's always powerful to be in the presence of someone doing such a great work. Then as I drove away, a friend called from California to say her brother Mike is in ICU with very life-threatening complications.
